Christmas. A time for giving, family, snow.
Australians, of course, won’t have snow. I’m sure they’ll live with it — I for one would absolutely love a good barbecue on Christmas Day. Can’t beat roast turkey… Literally. 😂 On the other hand, many around us will not have family to spend today with.
I’m sure that many of my readers will know that loneliness is one of the worst feelings in the world on a good day. Loneliness on today, of all days, must be one of life’s worst feelings — comparable to being kicked in the balls by a bird wearing high heels. (I am reliably informed that it hurts. 😖)
From the elderly to the homeless, so many of those around us will have nobody. Please take 5 minutes: 5 minutes to check in with your elderly next door neighbour. 5 minutes to donate to a homeless shelter locally. 5 minutes to call an old friend.
“Please take 5 minutes, for 5 minutes can save a life.”Connor Gurney
I wish each and every one of you a very Merry Christmas, and hope that today is full of fun and laughter with those who matter most to you. I look forward to writing more at New Year, and into 2018.
